Capital K Pictures is a NY-based production house co-founded in 2007 by writer/director and cinematographer Sofian Khan, focusing on the production of short films, music videos and feature length narrative and documentary projects.

In 2008, Sofian made his transition into feature-filmmaking with the completion of “Ramchand Paksitani’, on which he served as the Director of Photography and Associate Producer. The film premiered at Tribeca and won awards at the London, Osian and Fribourg film festivals--- with ensuing theatrical releases in India, Pakistan and the UK. Sofian made his directorial debut the following year with “Destined to be Ingested”, a low budget horror-comedy available on DVD from Midnight Releasing. That same year, Sofian directed a short film, “Small Voices” co-produced by New York Films International, that won Best Short at the 2008 South Asian International Film Festival sponsored by HBO, and has since played at over 20 festivals worldwide.

Capital K Pictures recently completed its first short documentary project and has several projects, including a feature film and full-length documentary project, in development.
